Tom Bailey describes his style of painting as 'Inadvertently Impressionist." He paints primarily in pastels and oils and is known for his vibrant textures and bold mark-making. “All my paintings start at places I’ve actually been,” explains Bailey. “Where they take me from there, however -- or where I take them -- is always an unplanned adventure.” Tom is a full-time artist with studios in Amesbury, Massachusetts. He regularly exhibits with a wide range of regional and national arts organizations and major galleries. He is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, Connecticut Pastel Society and the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod. He and his family divide their time between a small town north of Boston, Massachusetts and an even smaller town south of Keene, New Hampshire.
